The Woodbury Jewish Center represents the best of contemporary conservative Judaism. Our congregation is united by an egalitarian spirit, with men and women participating together in every aspect of ritual observance and the celebration of our common heritage. Our children learn together, and young women and young men have the same opportunity to participate in the service at which they are called to the Torah to mark their attainment as Bat or Bar Mitzvah.

While the individuality of our faith is important to each of us, we share a common focus on the values inherent in our rituals. Most importantly, we celebrate Jewish life in a way that brings each of us and our families all closer together. I am so delighted to say that the Woodbury Jewish Center is a place where friends and family share in the observance and joy of holidays, special events, social occasions, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, births and weddings and also comfort each other at times of personal tragedy.

The Woodbury Jewish Center is the newest synagogue to be built in Nassau County in a generation. As a conservative congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of America, we are seeking to become a leading Jewish institution on Long Island. Our synagogue is a continuing statement by forward thinking people, deeply committed to Jewish identity and values, that every generation must add to the legacy of the generation that preceded it.

A wonderfully inspirational synagogue has blossomed among the many families and individuals who have joined the Woodbury Jewish Center since its inception. The legacy that we have created for our children is a loving, much respected synagogue filled with values and traditions and a warm, bright sanctuary for the full expression of our Jewish soul.
