Shalom and Welcome
to the Woodbury Jewish Center!
My
family and I are recent arrivals to the WJC family and the qualities
that we sought in a synagogue are the same ones that we have found
here and that characterize the Woodbury Jewish Center. My approach
to Judaism stresses that the synagogue should be a joyous place
where every one is nurtured to create community and celebrate our
sacred moments. The synagogue community should become an extended
family where each individual will feel needed and inspired to experience
Conservative Judaism in a positive and inclusive way.
From our Nursery, Religious School, Hebrew High
School and Youth Groups, through our family programs, adult education
classes, vibrant Sisterhood and active Men’s club, senior
adult programs, and a wide array of social and cultural happenings
and everything in between, you will find a second home at the WJC
where you will be encouraged and appreciated wherever you are in
age and background. We are a young congregation that respects tradition
and interprets it in a contemporary way. We are a friendly and beautiful
Jewish Center and we hope you will find your home with us. Our clergy,
staff and leadership live this ideal every day and they are a unique
team that stands ready to answer your questions.
In a cold and complex world that too often
comes in conflict with the values we aspire, we yearn for a connection
where our spiritual journey will be treated seriously and where
all are made to feel welcome and experience our religion together.
I believe that the WJC is that place and I cordially invite you
to contact me and explore the joy and excitement that I feel every
day at our Center and that I know you will too. The WJC is a truly
unique spiritual home and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Grow with us and create Jewish memories
that will transform your lives.
